Rules and Expectations :
Absences and Makeup Policy :
If you are absent, You are responsible for getting any class notes from another student in your class. On the first day you are back, you should check the homework board for any handouts or missed assignments. Remember, being absent does not mean that you are excused from your homework. Missed work must be turned in within five days of absence. Work turned in after this period of time will receive a grade of zero.
You may also find the assigned homework, test dates, and projects on the web site. (www.littlesilverschools.org)
If you are absent one day and a test or quiz was given on that day, you will be expected to take the test or quiz the day you return. Makeup sessions for laboratory assignments are by appointment and will take place after school. Please see me so that we can get you back on track!
Labs and Class Participation: Labs are a major component of our science class, as they allow you to apply what you have learned to real-life situations and simulations. We will have many opportunities for hand-on exploration throughout the course of the year.
